A word from Jayson...

Remembering back when I was 12 years old, I was telling my grandparents, the founders of SCEI, that one day I was going to be part of SCEI. I am so glad that 12 years later God gave me the opportunity to come into this ministry and be able to reach people for the Lord. The Board of Directors officially accepted me on October 9, 2005, and I am really exited about this ministry and the opportunity God gave me to serve Him.

I grew up in Mexico and Spanish was my first language. I have been able to use this gift in many different areas. I am able to translate for pastor's, players and testimonies of anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish when we go on outreaches.

As a teenager I moved to Lakeland, Florida and lived with my uncle David who is now the president of SCEI. Between the Gordon family and the church I attended in high school, I was able to learn about life and how the Lord wants us to live and serve Him. I was challenged by SCEI to start a music ministry and that has really been a blessing for me. I have always loved sports and music and I thank God every day because he lets me do the two things I really love and serve Him at the same time.

The Lord has allowed me to put together a band of great God fearing men who love music, including my brother Memo, and to create a CD. It’s in both English and Spanish and is called “Sin Cadenas” (without chains). The last track on this CD is my personal testimony and I share how anyone can come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17
