Dave is the president of SCEI and a member of the board of directors. Brenda works with the financial and legal aspects of the ministry.

A word from the Gordons...

In 1960 I was two years old when my father and mother, Jim and Diane Gordon founded SCEI. During these humble beginnings I grew up following my dad’s footsteps, evangelizing in Latin America through camps and sports.

I met my wife Brenda at LeTourneau College in Longview Texas. I studied Business Administration while Brenda studied Camp and Recreation. We then moved to Lakeland, Florida where I worked as a contractor and where we raised our two children, John and Jennifer, as well as Jayson and Memo Hernandez, my sister Joleen’s children.

In 1997 when our children were older we had a burden to work full-time with SCEI. We really believe that God had this planned as Jim Gordon, president of SCEI passed away in 1999. I became president of SCEI and moved the SCEI headquarters to Monteagle, Tennessee. We have adopted, so to say, my niece Rebekah. She is Joleeen’s daughter. We are also privileged to have our nephew Jayson Hernandez working with us.
